Great forest walks and overlooks of the Hudson River Valley. Ask the Innkeeper for more of her favorite hiking spots and secret areas.
The highest cascading waterfalls in New York State are just over 1 mile from Rosehaven. Thanks to the recent opening of the Kaaterskill Rail Trail, you can now walk/bike directly from Rosehaven to the top of the Falls via an old railroad bed. From the top, a beautiful view and subject of many Hudson School Painters, the “Victorian Graffiti” carved in the rock can keep you entertained for hours. A short, moderate hike from the bottom will take you to a classic view of the two-tier drop and “a romp in the pool” during the warmer weather.
